Greek muscleman Atlas (Forest) fights tyrant Praximedes (Wolff) for game Candia (Morris). With the massive international popularity of Hercules, Roger Corman thought he would make his own entry in the sword and sandal genre with a film shot in Greece. Great gay interest muscleman / dangerous damson artwork.










DUEL OF THE TITANS

The two gods of sword and sandal epics, Steve ‘Hercules’ Reeves and Gordon ‘Tarzan’ Scott clash as twin brothers in this Italian/French historical mythology gladiator fantasy. Kitsch gay iconography, this poster is in good condition.

An Italian/French sword and sandal film dubbed into English for the US release about a mythological hero who battles giants and monsters in his efforts to free the peaceful Samar from their lunar captors. Fantastic camp kitsch poster that throws in everything but the kitchen sink!










HERCULES AND THE CAPTIVE WOMEN

The film is also known as ‘Hercules Conquers Atlantis’ in the UK, and ‘Hercules and the Captive Women’ in the USA where the film was not only retitled but edited, rescored and given a title design by Filmation. Musclemen and scantily clad maidens. Good original condition.










KING SOLOMAN’S MINE / TEN DESPERATE MEN

Gay interest European sword and sandals epics paired for this UK Miracle Films release with artwork by ‘Gala’ regular Fred Payne. Very good overall condition with strong colour.










ONE MILLION YEARS BC

One of the most iconic and collectible posters of the 1960s, with the famous image of Raquel Welch in the infamous Carl Toms fur bikini, which became a best selling pin-up poster in its own right. Scarce original first release with slight handling, light fold wear typical of Dayglo inks and a tiny paper nick top centre, otherwise in excellent condition with strong colour.










PLANET OF THE APES

Heston stars in the first, and best, instalment of what would become one of the then most successful franchises in movie history. Extremely rare first release DC in escellent condition.










RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

Renowned archeologist and expert in the occult, Dr. Indiana Jones, is hired by the U.S. Government to find the Ark of the Covenant, which is believed to still hold the ten commandments. First in the series, pitting Indiana Jones (Ford) against the Nazis. With fantastic artwork this first release quad is in excellent condition.










ROLLERBALL / JUGGERNAUT

The action packed “ball-breaking” double bill poster, and apart from some light handling, it is in excellent original condition.










SAMSON & THE 7 MIRACLES OF THE WORLD

In the 1200s in China, a powerful man (Gordon Scott) must complete seven feats of strength to repel an invading army and rescue a Chinese princess. Some artistic license has been used in the artwork here by Brown, but a great kitsch poster.

Based on Jonathan Swift’s ‘Gulliver’s Travels’, the film features stop-motion animation by Ray Harryhausen and a rousting score by Hitchcock composer Bernard Herrmann. Original 1st release quad with some pinhole damage, slight wear and very light staining verso, otherwise it displays well with bright colour.

Italian sword and scandals epic sees the son of Zeus try to free a kingdom from the clutches of an evil dictator and pick up a love along the way. This fantastic first release quad is in superb non-folded condition with deep rich colour.

A Greek soldier (Reeves) leads the fight against an invading Persian army. The poster has suffered some wear, with various tears, paper loss and tape staining. But on the positive side, it does have a great pic of Steve Reeves in a loin cloth!

Lavishly shot, this film is notable for being one of the earliest movies by director Sergio Leone, who would go on to find international fame for his spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood. All the elements you’d expect from a sword and sandals epic. Good condition.

Professor George Challenger (Claude Rains), explorer Lord John Roxton (Michael Rennie) and their motley crew trek through the rainforest in search of living prehistoric creatures. Original first release quad, and apart from slight pinhole damage to the top two corners, is in good condition with superb vibrant artwork.










THE PRISONER OF ZENDA

Lavish colour remake of the 1937 swash-buckling adventure which sees the King of Ruritania (Granger) abducted just before his coronation by his evil brother Prince Rupert (Mason) who plans to seize the throne for himself. Excellent provenance, coming direct from Stewart Granger’s personal collection, and in good overall condition.

Lavish Disney film based on comic book artist/writer Dave Steven’s adventurer with Bill Campbell as the all American hero. Very under-rated film with a simply stunning Art Deco poster design. This is the highly collectible teaser quad without the film credits obscuring the artwork in excellent original rolled condition.










THE TWELVE CHAIRS / ON ANY SUNDAY

Mel Brooks’ comedy is paired with the Steve McQueen feature documentary about motorbike racers, featuring McQueen himself, for this 1975 re-release. A single light vertical fold through the middle of Twelve Chairs, otherwise in good original condition with very strong colours.

Hammer’s sequel to SHE (1965), this time with newcomer Berova taking the place of Ursula Andress in the title role. Superbly dramatic artwork by Chantrell on this first release quad. Apart from a tear on the right side near Berova’s leg and central left fold separation, which have been repaired with museum tape, the poster displays very well.

Original 1st release quad with fantastic artwork by the late great Frank Bellamy, illustrator of Dan Dare in Eagle and strips for TV21 and Radio Times. Slight handling, cross fold wear (repaired verso) and very slight discolouration upper left/centre/right, otherwise with superb unfaded colour.

Compton-Cameo release of this Italian sword and sandals import that sees Ulysses offend the gods by blinding the Cyclops, so they send Hercules to capture him and bring him to justice. Excellent original condition with superb bright colour. Gay interest.
