2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY

Kubrick’s epic space opera, seen by many as his masterpiece. This set of original ‘deluxe’ lobby cards, although printed in Italy, were intended for the international market and it is believed used only for major screenings, so as a result they are extremely scarce and highly collectible. Apart from very light handling this set is in excellent condition and comes complete with original envelope (images available upon request).

Corman cult classic, the film takes place in a dystopian American society in the year 2000, where the murderous Transcontinental Road Race has become a form of national entertainment. Featuring iconic Chantrell artwork (which interestingly only featured on the British quad), it is in very good condition.

Directed by the man behind ‘King Kong’ (1933), this Technicolour horror sci-fi was nominated for an Oscar for its ground breaking SFX and has become a recognised cinema classic. Godzilla, King of the Monsters, is the grand daddy of them all! This late 1950s release poster has superb artwork by Poucel of the monster doing what he does best, going on the rampage! This is a very scarce and highly sought after poster for this classic B movie and apart from slight ageing typical of paper of this period, is in very good overall condition.

British take on the Godzilla movie theme sees Gorgo, an ancient sea monster, captured by enterprising sailors and taken back to London for exploitation, but they hadn’t figured on the wrath of his mum when she comes a looking for him! Stunning artwork, this first release country of origin quad is in excellent investment quality condition.

An immortal Scottish swordsman (Lambert) must confront the last of his opponents (Brown), a brutal barbarian who lusts for the fabled “Prize” (a special ability which is given to the last living immortal warrior), in order to survive and save the world. Small pinholes, otherwise in superb original condition with strong colour.










INVISIBLE INVADERS

Invisible aliens who inhabit the moon kill Dr. Noymann (Carradine), take over his body and reveal their plan to wipe out humanity and take over the earth by making zombies of their corpses. Classic 50s B movie stuff. Original very scarce first release poster and apart from a couple of pinholes and slight tape residue bleed upper right is in good overall condition.

Cashing in on the success of ‘It Came From Outer Space’, the film is notable for being one of Ray Harryhausen’s earliest movies. The poster is in great condition with fantastic outrageous B movie artwork of the monster running amok.

MONSTER FROM GREEN HELL

Glorious 1950s ‘B movie’ pitching giant bugs (in this case wasps) against mankind, though as a slight change from the norm, the proceedings take place in equtorial Africa to add some much needed colour. Extremely scarce original quad (possibly the only surviving copy) with superb artwork.

This superb scarce first release standalone quad has only a very faint centre fold and a few tiny edge nicks, otherwise is in excellent original condition.

Tigon sci-fi mystery about aliens snatching parachutists out of the sky to conduct their unspeakable experiments on (naturally). This is the extremely scarce standalone UK quad and apart from a slight paper loss upper left corner, is in very good overall condition.










THE COLOSSUS OF NEW YORK

Following an accident, Jeremy Spenser’s brain is transplanted by his scientist father into the huge body of a cyborg, but his son’s brain becomes transformed by the experimental procedure and in true B movie style the Colossus goes on the rampage. Some signs of wear on this screen printed original, but great schlock robot imagery!










THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US

Third installment of the classic B movie ‘Creature’ series (preceded by ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’ and ‘Revenge of the Creature’) sees a mad scientist capture and turn the Creature into an air breathing monster who goes on a killing spree. Very rare original first release quad, and apart from a couple of conservation edge repairs and pinholes, is in good condition.










THE CURSE OF THE FLY / DUEL OF THE SPACE MONSTERS

Third instalment of ‘The Fly’ trilogy paired with US import ‘Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster’ (US title) in a suitably lurid double bill with fab monster artwork. A pinhole to each corner otherwise is very good condition.










THE DAY MARS INVADED EARTH

Classic B movie fair, with those pesky Martians up to their old tricks by replacing a scientist and his family with dopplegangers to prepare for their invasion. Great B movie artwork it’s in excellent original condition and displays well.










THE DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS

Based on John Wynham’s superb novel (though the film takes quite a lot of liberties, especially with the ending!), this poster, with Bill Wiggin’s superb artwork, has become a true collectors classic in its own right. In excellent original condition with bright colour it’s a must have for any collector!










THE EARTH DIES SCREAMING

One of the films Fisher made after falling out of favour with Hammer, this low budget British thriller has some good moments, even if the effects really don’t live up. Great crazy monster robot running amok artwork.










THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

Second film in the original George Lucas Star Wars trilogy and still considered by many to be the best film of the franchise. This is a scarce first print run first release ‘silver titles’ quad. The quality of the first printing is considerably stronger than the subsequent print runs and the Tom Jung artwork is especially effective. Excellent original condition.










THE TERMINATOR

First in the franchise that cast Arnie as the deadly cyborg assassin from the future trying to kill Sarah Connor (Hamilton). The UK quad features original artwork and is much better than the US photographic version. Slight moisture staining verso, otherwise in good original condition.










THE VIKING QUEEN

The best thing about this lamentable Hammer sword and sandals epic is Chantrell’s superb poster artwork! Its other claim to fame is that Patrick Troughton, who played Tristram in the film, was offered the part of Dr Who during filming. Light edge wear, otherwise in overall very good condition with strong colour and dayglo titles.

Korda fantasy epic, written by H G Wells, with ground-breaking special effects by Hungarian abstract artist and experimental filmmaker László Moholy-Nagy. The film stills stands as a landmark of early British cinema and this extremely rare full colour trade ad (12″ x 18″) has stunning artwork and is in excellent condition.










THINGS TO COME

Korda fantasy epic, written by H G Wells. This is the re-release quad and at some point someone has ‘protected’ it with clear sticky-back plastic, so it’s priced accordingly, but despite this it still displays very well with affecting artwork. A great chance to pick up an extremely scarce poster at a fraction of the usual cost of £2k+.

An English space scientist (Neville) discovers his wife (Licudi) is in fact an alien from another planet sent to lead an invasion of earth. Excellent original condition.

Scarce original quad in dayglo pink and silver has light fold wear, otherwise presents very well.
